In August 2026, the parties agreed to settle the Beach Energy Shareholder Class Action for $43.5 million (AUD) in-principle, inclusive of interest, costs and subject to court approval. In reaching this settlement, Beach Energy Limited makes no admission of liability. The Supreme Court of Victoria will decide whether to approve the settlement at a hearing scheduled at 10:30 am on 18 November 2026. Group members who have previously registered their claim were sent a Notice of Proposed Settlement from 4 September 2026 . A copy can also be found in the Key Documents section below. It is important that Group Members read the Notice carefully as it sets out key terms of the proposed settlement, the parties’ intention to seek the Court’s approval of that settlement, and your rights in relation to that process. Registered group members were sent an email from Slater and Gordon at the end of September 2026 requesting that they: confirm their contact details and verify their trading data; provide further information as part of mandatory sanctions checks; and provide their nominated bank account details. In order for Slater and Gordon to assess eligibility for monetary compensation, registered group members must complete the applicable fields in their online portal by 4 November 2026 . About This Case

Group proceeding brought on behalf of certain persons who purchased shares in the defendant Beach Energy). The lead plaintiffs are [name withheld] and [name withheld].

The case is brought on behalf of those persons who acquired an interest in fully paid ordinary shares, or American Depository Receipts ( ADR), in Beach Energy between 17 August 2020 and 29 April 2021 (inclusive) and in each case suffered loss or damage when Beach Energy downgraded its estimates of oil and gas assets in its Western Flank oil field on 30 April 2021, resulting in a fall in Beach Energy’s share price.

This group proceeding was previously managed together with a class action proceeding commenced by Mark Richard Sanders (S ECI 2022 00256). The Honourable Justice Nichols held a hearing to determine which of the [name withheld] Proceeding or Sanders Proceeding would continue, and also heard group costs order applications by the plaintiffs in both proceedings on 19 May 2022. On 11 August, her Honour made orders permanently staying the Sanders Proceeding (with the [name withheld] Proceeding to continue) and made a group costs order in the [name withheld] Proceeding.

Shareholders in Beach Energy were covered by both proceedings, and their claims will now be advanced only in the [name withheld] proceeding. There is no need for group members to take any action.
