We expect to issue approximately 14,000 Licence Claim Data Notices over this period. The purpose of the Activity is to collect the information required to determine each Registrant’s eligibility and assess any eligible licence claim(s) under the Settlement Distribution Scheme. Due to the complexity of these claim types, the Activity is being issued in stages. This means that some Admin Contacts may receive the Activity earlier than others. Admin Contacts who are due to receive the Activity will be contacted directly by email with further instructions. What the Activity involves Depending on the Registrant’s claim(s), Admin Contacts may be required to: provide information about registered licence claims; confirm approximately how long the Registrant owned, operated and/or leased each licence during the relevant Claim Period; add additional claim types for existing registered licences; review the claim data we hold on file for each licence and either confirm that it is accurate or request an amendment; and tell us about any missing licence or driver claims that have not previously been registered. All amendment requests, additional claim types and missing claims must be submitted through the Activity by the deadline. We cannot accept responses by phone or email, and any information provided this way will not be considered. Once the Activity is completed, or the deadline passes, you will no longer be able to request further amendments, add further claim types or notify us of additional missing claims. Subject to the outcome of any amendment requests or other review processes, the claim data will become final and binding and will be used to determine eligibility and assess claims under the Settlement Distribution Scheme. How to prepare If you are expecting to receive the Activity, we encourage you to: review any records that may assist you in confirming licence information; consider approximately how long the Registrant owned, operated and/or leased each licence during the relevant Claim Period; locate any Operator Accreditation Numbers that may be relevant to operator claims; and review the relevant state-based FAQs available on this website before commencing the Activity. Licence Claim Data Notice Activity

We are continuing to progress the Claim Data Verification and Notice Stage of the Settlement Administration.

As part of this stage, the Licence Claim Data Notice Activity (Activity) is currently being issued to Admin Contacts for Registrants with licence owner, operator and/or lease income claims.

What the Activity involves

Depending on the Registrant’s claim(s), Admin Contacts may be required to:

provide information about registered licence claims; confirm approximately how long the Registrant owned, operated and/or leased each licence during the relevant Claim Period; add additional claim types for existing registered licences; review the claim data we hold on file for each licence and either confirm that it is accurate or request an amendment; and tell us about any missing licence or driver claims that have not previously been registered.

Important information

Completion of the Activity is mandatory. You will have 28 days from the date the Activity is issued to complete it.

Registrants who receive the Activity must complete it by the deadline specified in their Activity invitation email. We cannot offer extensions of time.

If the Activity is not completed by the deadline, we may not have sufficient information to determine eligibility or assess the claim(s). As a result, the Registrant may be found ineligible for compensation or their claim(s) may receive an assessed amount of $0.

The Activity is the only opportunity to:

request amendments to claim data; add additional claim types for existing registered licences; and tell us about any missing licence or driver claims.

How to prepare

If you are expecting to receive the Activity, we encourage you to:

review any records that may assist you in confirming licence information; consider approximately how long the Registrant owned, operated and/or leased each licence during the relevant Claim Period; locate any Operator Accreditation Numbers that may be relevant to operator claims; and review the relevant state-based FAQs available on this website before commencing the Activity.

What you need to do

If you have received the Activity, please complete it by the deadline specified in your Activity invitation email.

If you have already completed the Activity, no further action is required at this stage unless we contact you.

If you have not yet received the Activity, but manage a registered licence owner, operator and/or lease income claim, please continue to monitor your email.

If your contact details have changed, please notify us by email as soon as possible.

If you have not received any recent communication from us, there is nothing further you need to do at this time.

To minimise administration costs and maximise the amount available for distribution to eligible Registrants, we may not be able to respond to enquiries where the answer is already available in the FAQs or elsewhere on this website.

Please continue to monitor your email and visit this website regularly for updates on the Settlement Administration process.

Thank you for your ongoing patience and cooperation.

Next steps in the settlement administration:

Driver Claims

The Driver Claim Data Notice Activity has now closed.

The Claim Data Notice and Eligibility Determination process has been completed for the majority of Registrants with driver claims. Registrants who did not complete the Driver Claim Data Notice Activity will be contacted separately regarding the outcome of their claim.

Thank you to all Admin Contacts who completed the Activity. The Activity was issued to approximately 3,000 Registrants with a driver claim, and 96.6% completed it.

What happens next?

If you accepted the Driver Claim Data Notice, no further action is required at this stage.

All amendment requests have been reviewed, and Claim Data Determinations have been issued.

Registrants whose Driver Claim Data Notice was finalised and whose claim has progressed through the eligibility process will receive a Notice of Assessment as the next major communication.

Registrants who did not complete the Driver Claim Data Notice Activity and whose claim could not be assessed may receive a Notice of Ineligibility in the coming weeks.

Please continue to monitor your email for updates and further instructions.

Licence Claims

The Licence Claim Data Notice Activity is currently being issued to Admin Contacts for Registrants with licence owner, operator and/or lease income claims.

The purpose of the Activity is to collect the information required to determine eligibility and then assess eligible licence claims under the Settlement Distribution Scheme.

Due to the complexity of these claim types, the Activity is being issued in stages.

What happens next?

Admin Contacts who receive the Activity must complete it by the deadline specified in their Activity invitation email.

The Settlement Administration Team will review any amendment requests, additional claim types and missing claims submitted through the Activity.

Where an amendment request is made, a Claim Data Determination will be issued setting out the outcome of that review.

If an additional claim type or missing licence or driver claim is submitted through the Activity, it will be reviewed by the Settlement Administration Team and may be compared against industry and regulatory records. The information provided does not automatically mean the claim will be accepted, and we will contact you once that review has been completed.

Once the Claim Data Notice stage has been completed, amendment requests have been reviewed, Claim Data Determinations have been issued, and all reviews have been finalised, licence claims will progress to the eligibility determination stage.

Following eligibility determination, eligible licence claims will proceed to assessment under the Settlement Distribution Scheme.

Please continue to monitor your email and this website for updates and further instructions.
