Frequently Asked Questions

Why has this change occurred?

On 5 July 2024, the Federal Court made case management orders substituting Echo Law as the solicitors for the Joint Representative Applicant. This did not affect your rights as a group member. Echo Law now manages the legal conduct of the proceeding and Omni Bridgeway manages communications with group members.

Am I going to be worse off or have to pay anything?

The substitution of solicitors does not change your status as a group member or impose any new upfront costs. Funding and costs arrangements for the proceeding continue to be managed by the litigation funder, Omni Bridgeway. For questions about funding terms, commissions or costs protection, please contact Omni Bridgeway's Client Team.

What happens next?

Echo Law and Omni Bridgeway will provide updates on next steps, including the timing of communications following judgment or other orders.
