About This Case
This class action was started in British Columbia, concerning an alleged concealed and dangerous defect in the defendants’ “4xe” series of vehicles, which are plug-in hybrid electric versions of the defendants’ popular Jeep-brand models.
The claim alleges that the Subject Vehicles, being the hybrid Jeep Wrangler 4xe (2020-2025) and hybrid Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe (2022-2026), have a dangerous and defective high-voltage hybrid battery system that can cause, and has caused, deadly vehicle fires. Fires can occur while a Subject Vehicle is driving or parked, regardless of whether the vehicle is turned.
