The statements below are Merchant Law Group’s account of this case. They reflect allegations or the firm’s position and have not been determined by a court unless a settlement or judgment is noted.

About This Case

All Jeep Wranglers, Cherokee, Renegade, Compass, Durango, Challenger, Charger, Caravan, Pacifica, Chrysler 300, and RAM 1500 have battery issues, inability to start, engine misfires, poor fuel efficiency, loss of power, stalling, engine check lights, and instrument cluster errors.

Many Jeep, Dodge, and Chrysler vehicles are exhibiting electrical issues such as inability to start, unexpected and dangerous loss of power steering, and inability to put the vehicle into gear after starting.

Merchant Law is pursuing a Canada wide Class action over these issues.

The case asserts a failure of overall functionality and reliability of these vehicles.

The malfunctioning of the auto engine starts and stops function (“ESS”), in conjunction with the persistent battery drainage issue when the vehicle is turned off, remains unresolved even after battery replacement, effecting fuel efficiency and diminished engine power.

These issues are related to the vehicle’s Powertrain Control Module (PCM), often referred to as the “vehicle’s brain.” They are significant concerns that have the potential to impact both vehicle safety and drivability.

JEEP failed to disclose the issue and known defect.

Within Merchant Law we seek to recover for owners and believe we can establish that Jeep possessed knowledge of the foregoing issue and intentionally concealed it from its customers, Jeep made incomplete representations about the vehicles’ quality, safety, and reliability, and fraudulently concealed the PCM defect in the vehicles.
